Unofficial ERSU Catania rankings for academic year 2026/2027

Information about the usage and the reason of this website

Why this website

This website was created with the aim of anticipating, as much as possible, the ERSU Catania rankings to give students a fairly accurate idea of their position in the rankings. This helps them assess whether to rent a place in time.
Additionally, it allows students to know whether they will receive the scholarship and/or the accommodation immediately or after a few adjustments.

The entire project is available on GitHub, go take a look at it! (recommended for advanced users only)

Information regarding the rankings

All rankings are calculated based on the information available in the list of participants and, consequently, may contain errors.
Tra i problemi noti si hanno:

  • The average reported in the list of participants for subsequent years after the first is rounded to the nearest whole number, so the score may be inaccurate by ± 0.5 points.
This can lead to inaccurate rankings in rare cases where participants have the same score. In such cases, the position is determined based on the ISEE compared to the actual rankings, where the score might vary due to the rounding of the average.
  • Among the participants considered for the rankings are 'suspended eligible' ('idonei sospesi' in italian) and 'ineligible due to ISEE omissions/discrepancies' ('non idonei per ISEE con omissioni/difformità' in italian).
These participants have the opportunity to correct their application in a timely manner after the publication of the list. Therefore, the actual rankings may differ, as it is impossible to predict whether these participants will correct their application or forfeit their benefits.
In these cases, the rankings may remain unchanged from the original ones if the forfeited participants were in lower positions compared to the generic participant, or become worse if the forfeited participants occupied higher positions.

Searching the rankings

There are three methods for searching the rankings:

  • Request number: This method allows you to find the rankings associated with your request number without needing to worry about the degree program or other details.
  • Degree program and year: This method lets you check rankings for different degree programs and years, or directly view the rankings for first-year students, which do not have these distinctions.
  • Manual: This method lets you manually navigate through all the rankings, similar to the model used last year.

In the ranking searches for housing assignments, it is possible to view potential assignees based on estimates from previous years.
In the first years, around 200 assignees are counted, according to the data on available housing outlined in the call for applications. For the years following the first, the number of assignees corresponds to 25% or 33% of those eligible, depending on the availability of residences, divided by degree program and year
